Ageless Grace at Northlands!

Come play and move at 7:00-7:45 am on Saturday morning as we use the 21 simple tools of Ageless Grace to spark our creativity and get ready for a day full of story! Ageless Grace is perfect for ANY fitness level! It is performed in a chair, barefoot, to music. Each of the 21 tools addresses the 21 aging factors and, with regular practice, is designed to keep the body functional over time. It is fun, easy, and is more like playing than exercising. You can watch a short introductory video at www.agelessgrace.com  to learn more. Esther Piszczek is a Certified Ageless Grace Educator in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. She has taught people of all age groups and fitness levels and loves introducing Ageless Grace to new people.

Evening Events

Thursday Story Slam - Theme "Moving Target"

Is there something in your life that feels like a moving target?
Have you chased a moving target? Been a moving target? Come tell us in a 5 minute judged story at the Northland's Slam on Thursday night at 7 pm! Hope to see you there!!

Tellers are drawn randomly and judges chosen from the audience and score each teller publicly. Everyone who tells will be awarded, and the winner will receive a grand prize and the prestige of being the Northlands Conference Slam Winner! If you don't want to tell, or if your name isn't chosen, never fear – you can still participate as audience members by laughing, clapping and cheering!

Thursday Bonfire

We're planning a bonfire and ghost story swap after the Story Slam. All conference attendees are welcome. The bonfire will be held at The Chalet on the hotel grounds. There will be a trolley that will take you to the Chalet, or you can drive your car. Please ask at the hotel registration desk for directions.

Story Concerts - Friday and Saturday evening, and Sunday morning

View Concert Tellers here.

Fringe Performances - Friday and Saturday

Based on the non-juried Fringe Festival concept, artists will present performances with no restrictions on style or content. Come experience adventurous works as storytellers push their limits. View Fringe performances here.

Story Swap

An informal gathering where anyone can share a story or just listen. Story circles are scheduled in the evenings.
