Call for Ruffles Concert Stories
INSPIRATION is what we do. CELEBRATION is how we do it.
Application Deadline: February 10, 2022
RUFFLES STORY CONCERT
- Friday, 4:00-5:30 pm CDT, April 29, 2022
- Concert includes three 25-minute Ruffles stories
WHO MAY APPLY
- You must be a member of Northlands Storytelling Network
- You may apply for the Story Concert and the Fringe, but appear at only one event.
- Producer’s Note: The Story Concert implies the best of the best go on stage, so each Ruffles Story is reviewed by a jury of your peers. Age and experience does not matter, but the quality of the performance does. There are no themes for the Ruffles Story Concert this year.
GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION
- Only one story may be submitted
- Stories must be no longer than 25 minutes in length
- Stories must be told, not read
- Any story introductions must be included on the submitted recording and included in the total length
- Storytellers are responsible for securing permissions for the use of any material under copyright
- If you performed in the 2021 Ruffles/Fringe, you are not eligible to submit until 2023. This was done because of the number of submissions each year and to give all a chance at performing
IF SELECTED FOR THE CONCERT

- You will be asked to send a photo and a short bio for the conference program
- Northlands provides Zoom. ALL other aspects are the responsibility of the performer
- There is no monetary compensation, however, you will be provided with a raw video of your performance. (Note: if you want a "clean" video, there is an hourly charge for the extra editing work.)
- Registration for the Concert is at no charge. If you want to attend any of the Fringe shows, the standard registration fee of $5 applies. However, if you want to register for the full Fringe-Fest!, your discounted price is $25 (a code will be provided prior to registration)
