How do you create stories that make an impact? How can you blend humor and purpose so that your pieces have textured layers and a thoughtful journey? How can you elicit laughter or be entertaining while being a changemaker? In this workshop, Kim will take us through the steps of focused writing, intentional storytelling and how to bring it all together on stage.

"The Dark Side of Storytelling"
Cost: $25 for Workshop 2 & Concert or Free with purchase of Workshop 1.
"If someone told me that I had to pick one genre of stories to write/tell for the rest of my life, it would be the darker, spooky, twisted stories." Kim says that it makes her sad that she only gets to perform these pieces around October. In this workshop, Kim will give tips on creating, twisting, and telling the stories that make you jump! Learn about stage presence, making a spooky story your own or creating your own original story. Kim has two award winning CD's, Head Bone Rattles and Dead Bird Singing that have received airplay and accolades. One review stated about Kim's spooky stories, "It was like having dinner with Dr. Seuss, Tim Burton and Alfred Hitchcock. I loved it, but I know I'll be looking under the bed when I go home."
